Mr Quinn tells me that the science department has been busy promoting science among our students. Transition Year student Michael Cox has qualified to represent the school at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in January 2010. We had two teams in the Irish Science Teachers Association Quiz in November. The teams were made up of James Power, Brian O Reilly, Daniel Clarke, Andrew Watkins, Brian McKeon and Kieran Yourrell. TY students attended the CSI exhibition at the “Ambassador” in Dublin in December with Ms Whyte and Mr Quinn as part of their science programme. All students solved their crime scenes and received CSI Diplomas.

Sixth Year biology students completed a one day ecology fieldtrip in Co Wicklow in October.
