Partnership – Students, Teachers & Parents
Coláiste Mhuire offers students the opportunity to join the Student’s Council, a democratic body composed of and run by the students themselves. Each class elects a representative to the council to express the students’ views on the running of the school, school policies and general areas of interest and concern. The council has also undertaken several practical projects, including provision of a recreational room for lunch periods, new school jackets, football league, and organising non-uniform days.
In addition to this, two members of the council are elected to Westmeath junior county council, which provides feedback and input into Westmeath County Council decision making.
