Chess tournament allows enthusiasts show their skills.
This year saw Ms. Duffy introduce a chess club to the school. The club accommodated the veterans of the game while it allowed others uncover an unknown passion. The club itself has been a resounding success and Ms. Duffy and the boys took their talents to the roads as they headed to Dublin for a tournament. Other schools including Kishoge Community College, Cellbridge Community College and Adamstown Community College all took part. The Coláiste Mhuire lads proved very competitive and more importantly they enjoyed the trip. Positive reports from the students means the trip could become an annual fixture and indeed other such tournaments may also be added to the school calendar. Well done to all involved.
