History Made Once Again

Coláiste Mhuire Juvenile hurlers have made history in beating St.Marys Enniscorthy by 3-11 to 3-6 to set up an 'A' Quarter Final with famed hurling nursey, St.Kierans College. This is the first time a Westmeath School has competed in the top division of schools hurling. After hitting some wides and missing some good goal chances, the team went in at HT 1-8 to 1-5 to the good. Some sloppy play left St.Marys Enniscorthy in the game and the concession of two goals left for a nervy final 10 minutes. However, the lads held out and win on a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-6. Best on the day were Karl McCormack and Robbie Cleary with many other hard working displays throughout the field.
