Welcome | Coláiste Mhuire
Hello and welcome to Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar website. Feel free to have a browse. Check out our school calendar for key dates or maybe some of our videos on life within the school.
Coláiste Mhuire is an ERST school which means we aim to provide education, full personal and social development in a caring Christian environment, just as Blessed Edmund Rice Envisioned. Our school community includes over 740 students and over 60 staff members. These numbers have been on the rise and this is testament to the culture of welcome and happiness that exists on our campus. This culture stems from our focus on academics and student wellbeing while exploring and enjoying our extracurricular interests.
Coláiste Mhuire embraces modernity while remaining faithful to the past. We are proud that we are part of a wider community within Mullingar and Westmeath and we work closely with other schools, businesses, charities, sports organisations and groups in the locality.
On a daily basis throughout the school year, our students and staff are in contact. Information is relayed, appointments and engagements are observed and successes are celebrated. However we are acutely aware that there is much interest in the school from parents and guardians, future pupils, past pupils and many others who feel a connection with Coláiste Mhuire. This website is a resource for these people, as well as the current student body and staff. It is hoped that this website becomes a live resource, an updated and current reference point for all concerned and interested. The website is to be a resource that informs you of all things from book lists to the next under 14 hurling fixture, from subjects taught to a progress report on our athletics team, from pictures of our Wellbeing workshops to dates for our Transition Year drama productions, from videos of our talent show to explanations of our BT young scientist projects, from appropriate dress codes to news of our latest victories, successes and achievements. This website is to be a celebration of our school.
