Art Club
Make new friends, experiment with different mediums, and let your artwork shine in a supportive and fun environment. Come create with us, and let's make something amazing together! The Visual Art Club is the perfect place for junior and senior students to unleash their imagination and explore the world of art.

Chess Club
Looking to sharpen your mind and challenge yourself? Join the CBS chess club at lunchtime ! With weekly fixtures, a points leaderboard, and the opportunity to compete in tournaments, there's always a chance to improve and test your strategy. Whether you're aiming for checkmate or just want to play for fun, all skill levels are welcome. Come make your move - see you at the board!

Debating
We have both a Junior and Senior team in Coláiste Mhuire, allowing students of all levels to engage in structured debates on a wide range of topical issues. Throughout the year, our teams participate in in-house debates, compete against local schools, and take part in prestigious competitions. Our teams have achieved great success in the Concern Debate Competition, where our Senior team reached the semi-finals in 2024, ranking among the top four schools in the country. Participation in debate helps students build confidence, enhance their research and teamwork skills, and develop the ability to articulate and defend their viewpoints effectively.

German Club
German club runs once a week during lunch throughout year. Room and day varies from year to year. It's a fun way for students to use their Geman and acquire some new phrases and vocabulary. We play bingo, watch films, do workouts through German, art through German and interactive online games on tablets. We are always trying to increase our numbers.
Newspaper Club
Coláiste Mhuire Chronicle began in 2024.It is created, written and edited by students, for students. The journalists, photographers and editors span all year groups and with their vast array of interests and passions, the paper is sure to offer something for every reader. The newspaper club runs every Thursday at lunchtime and new members are always welcome.

Rugby Club
Rugby is a team sport that has been played at Colaiste Mhuire since 2022 when the school fielded a senior team. The level of interest in the sport grew from there and now the school has teams right through from first year to sixth year. Colaiste Mhuire’s rugby teams have represented the school exceptionally well in everything from blitzes and league games to championships including the Duff Cup for the junior team and the McMullen Cup for the senior team. Some of the many recent successes include our junior team winning the Leinster Cup as well as the 3rd Division, while our senior team achieved a second place finish in 2024 in the McMullen Cup. The number of students that join Colaiste Mhuire’s rugby programme who are playing rugby for the first time continues to increase each year, which is a great sign for the years ahead.

Starbooks Cafe

Starbooks Cafe Is open every lunchtime in G5.
It's a quiet, relaxing space away from the hustle and bustle of daily school life.
Students can read their library books, or have a quiet chat or catch up on homework. Students can also enjoying a cup of tea among friends. Be sure to call into G5.
Stem Team

Technology Club
Technology Club meets every Friday after school and is open to all students from 1st to 6th year. It offers a chance to explore manufacturing, electronics, robotics, and work on Junior and Senior Cycle projects. Activities include designing, making everyday items, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
Tennis
Coláiste Mhuire started a tennis team in 2022. The team train during lunchtimes each week and have the opportunity to compete in the Leinster Tennis League in term three. Tennis is a wonderful sport for improving fitness, coordination and balance, whilst simultaneously allowing students to make new friends and thrive in a fun, competitive environment.
